Travelers Gifts Trinity Free Clinic Patients with the Love of Reading

As part of Trinity Free Clinic’s approach to caring for the whole patient, you’ll notice that there are books everywhere at the clinic! The deep windowsills of the waiting room provides shelves for free books available to adult patients to read and take with them while waiting. You will also find well-stocked shelves in the children’s play area. Just in case they didn’t make it over to the book shelves in the play area, you will often find a grinning peds patient strutting through the clinic after their appointment clutching a book and a blanket they received from the nurse.

In April, the Indianapolis Diversity Council at Travelers Insurance held a children’s book drive for Trinity Free Clinic in honor of Family and Child Month. We were delighted to receive a gift of over 150 books and 11 puzzles that we will be able to distribute to our sweet, young patients. We cannot think of a kinder gift, and we are grateful to Travelers for raising awareness of Trinity Free Clinic and encouraging our patients to develop a love of reading.
