Dental Services Available
Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm, Saturday 8am-12pm
Parents, friends, and children of patients are not allowed in dental operatories during procedures;
you must make arrangements for childcare, as clinic staff cannot watch your children during your dental appointment.
Preventive services and proper dental care are essential to good health; many diseases that start in the mouth can damage the rest of our bodies. That’s why we strive to provide education and restoration to keep you working and smiling until you can afford private dental services and permanent dental solutions. Following a comprehensive dental exam, our dedicated staff and dental volunteers work to create a personalized patient treatment plan to restore dental health, prevent the loss of teeth, and maintain sound oral structure.
Services are available to patients ages 12 and older.
Comprehensive Exams/X-Rays
We offer digital and panoramic x-rays as part of each comprehensive dental exam. This helps us to create a custom treatment plan for every Trinity Free Clinic patient.
Restoration/Fillings
Preserving and restoring healthy teeth is always our goal. Trinity offers fillings, stainless steel crowns, and same-day porcelain crowns to preserve and protect our patients’ smiles.
Extractions
While our goal is always prevention and restoration, we offer extraction services when necessary. An oral surgery clinic is offered once a month for difficult or impacted wisdom teeth.
Flippers/Prosthetics
We offer dentures, partials and “flippers” which are temporary/cosmetic acrylic teeth that replace one to four missing teeth in the front of the mouth and fits into the mouth much like a retainer.
Partner Services
When possible, we partner with a network of dentists and dental laboratories who provide oral surgery, root canal therapy, and prosthetic fabrication in their private offices.
Referral Services
We refer many of our patients to Ivy Tech for free or reduced routine cleanings and to IU School of Dentistry for reduced-cost root canal therapy, crowns, implants, and orthodontia.

What is a Flipper?
After a patient is approved as a candidate for this procedure, a fast impression is taken in our clinic and sent to a lab for flipper fabrication. The patient returns to the clinic to be fitted with their new flipper and leaves with a temporary tooth in place and a restored smile. Our hope is that in the future, the patient will find a permanent dental home and a more durable type of tooth replacement. Patients with good health and a good prognosis for prosthesis may also be candidates for crowns or partial dentures.
Flippers are a recent addition to Trinity Free Clinic’s portfolio of dental services, made possible by the research and dedication of Dr. Dennis Heritier, Trinity’s co-dental director. Dr. Heritier recently created a “wet lab” in our dental clinic, where dental staff and volunteers will create impressions and handle flipper fittings and repairs. Dr. Heritier secured a partnership with William & Company Dental Prosthetics, who generously agreed to fabricate removable flipper prosthetics for Trinity patients in their dental laboratory at no cost.
